Sony Ericsson has announced the launch of Android-powered Xperia X10 over AT & T wireless carrier network for US citizens. The Xperia X10 only runs outdated Android 1.6 and there’s no word about the possible update to Android 2.2.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 features 8.1 MP camera with smile detection, face recognition, auto focus and LED flash and it sports 4-inch capacitive touch screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 1GB of on board memory and a 8GB microSD card included in the box.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 certainly looks pretty powerful among its Android peers. Timescape and Mediascape are the two new interfaces developed by Sony Ericsson specifically for XPERIA X10. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Smartphone will be available in black color at AT&T stores and online over their website on August 15 for $149.99 after a two-year service plan and minimum smart phone data plan. But customers can buy this smart phone in local Sony Style store for $20 less i.e., $130.
