Apple announces a new Back To School deal during late May / early June every year as an educational promotion to school / college students and clearing off some stocks of the older iPod models in the process. Students across the United States as usual, have been waiting for this year’s deal from Apple which we expect to be announced during the Apple WWDC conference kicking off on this June 6th. This year’s deal is going to be a tricky one for Apple as they don’t have any older models of iPod touches left. The only way they can offer the deal is by extending them to iPads which are quickly replacing the iPod Touch devices among the students. Well, this may indeed happen, according to BGR. A new report appeared on the website says that this as part of the Back To School Deal, Apple this year is going to offer either free iPod Touch or $200 off on purchase of a new iPad 2 when the students with back-to-school discount coupons buy a new Mac. Apple will be announcing the deal at this year’s WWDC conference which is also expected to include Mac OS X Lion and iOS5 announcements.
