AT&T has already announced that it will launch the glasses-free 3D display featuring LG Thrill 4G smart in the coming months. But until now, there is no official word on the exact launch date and pricing. Its other variant LG Optimus 3D is already available for sale outside the United States. It looks like, the LG and AT&T are gearing up to launch the LG Thrill 4G soon. The AT&T branded LG Thrill 4G handset was spotted passing through the FCC doors on yesterday, tagged with model number ‘LG P925’. This could be a clear indication for us to refer that the AT&T’s Thrill 4G handset is not far away from being released in the U.S. LG Thrill 4G will be second 3D fangled phone to launch in the U.S. after the Sprint branded HTC EVO 3D which is hitting the markets on June 24th.
LG Thrill 4G has already landed on FCC in April month, with AT&T’s 850 and 1900MHz bands for GSM as well as high-speed HSDPA/HSUPA communication, bearing the model number ‘LG P920H’. AT&T’s developer website has confirmed that ‘LG P925’ is the model number for AT&T’s LG Thrill 4G handset.
LG Thrill 4G comes with out-dated Android 2.2 Froyo OS on the board, a 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D display, sporting a dual-core 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 8GB of on-board storage, another 8GB on the included micro-SD card giving a scope for memory expansion up to 32GB, HDMI out, 1500mAh battery, DLNA streaming, and dual 5 megapixel cameras to let the users to record 1080p video in two dimension, or 3D video in 720p, which you can then view in 3D straight on the phone without requiring the 3D glasses. Users will be having the access to YouTube’s selection of 3D videos, as well as a special 3D store called LG 3D Space with more videos as well as 3D gaming options.
