Sprint branded Motorola Photon 4G is an Android powered smartphone packed with a solid hardware, high end specifications, running on Sprint’s highest-speed data service and comes with advanced security features, powered by international GSM capabilities (Sprint’s first 4G world phone). As its name suggests, it has got a 4G WiMAX radio inside it.
Motorola Photon 4G comes with the latest Gingerbread (v. 2.3.3) of Android OS, equipped with an advanced 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor from Nvidia, boosted by 1GB RAM, 2GB ROM, sporting a 4.3-inch qHD display with 540 x 960 pixel of resolution, a front facing camera which is helpful for video calling, an 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash to record the video in 720p HD format, 16GB internal memory storage, micro-SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, 3.5mm headset jack, Sprint ID, DLNA functionality, GPS navigation, micro-USB, mini-HDMI ports, 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot capability, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 1700mAh battery that gives up to GSM: 10.4 hours talk time & up to 9.1 hours on WDCDMA, Android Market, and a whole host of Google & Sprint services.
Motorola Photon 4G also sports a handy kickstand, which is very customary these days for smartphones with displays more than four inches. It also comes with the Motorola webtop application to support multimedia Dock, car Dock etc.
