Nullsoft, the company behind the popular desktop media player Winamp, has just updated its free Android app’s version to 1.1 with new features and enhancements. The new Winamp 1.1 version for Android brings free additional music, along with “Full CD Listening Party” feature (besides free Spinner daily MP3) that lets you listen to streaming music of newly released full-length albums updated each week. This feature can be accessed by choosing “Free Music” > “Full CD Listening Party” from the app’s homescreen. This week you can enjoy the streaming music from the full-length albums from David Bowie, Depeche Mode & Def Leppard etc., notes the company in a new blog post.
The SHOUTcast radio experience has been improved in the new version 1.1 which is now available for Android 2.1+ devices opposed to Android 2.2+ only earlier.
Winamp for Android 1.1 now supports 14 languages: English, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Dutch, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Romanian, Russian, Spanish & Turkish.
The changelog page also has a special note for Motorola Droid X users that there are some issues with the UI after upgrading to the Android 2.3.3.
