We all knew that Microsoft has planned to release the next major update of its Windows Phone 7 OS in this fall. The next updated Windows Phone 7 OS code named as ‘Mango’. It has been also confirmed that the upcoming Nokia Windows Phones also will be shipping pre-installed with new WP7 ‘Mango’ OS. This upcoming updated OS was already spotted running on the HTC HD7 handset. We got a video clip, which was recorded during the Computex 2011 event, and the clip is showing the new Mango OS features running on HTC HD7. Sadly, the video was not being demonstrated in English language.
Microsoft has promised to introduce more than 500 features (1), (2) in the new flavor of Windows Phone 7 mobile operating OS. In the Mango OS, we will be seeing Internet Explorer 9 with full hardware-acceleration, HTML 5 support, a new real-time augmented reality view, better social networking integration, new motion and camera APIs, support for a load of new languages, with better means to find what one is looking for, including information, music, videos. Mango will also bring Bing search by photographing barcodes, QR codes and Microsoft Tags, as well as music search to see the info info like song title, artist and album title in a simple way. There would be Personalized Live Tiles, possibility to have multiple email accounts loaded on the device, built-in voice-to-text/text-to-voice functionality, enhanced support for Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, instant app resume, hands-free messaging, native Windows Live Messenger, Facebook chat, AOL Instant Messenger, revamped Games hub, Wi-Fi Hotspot support, Facebook places, ‘Lock Screen’ feature, completely redesigned the Xbox Live Hub for Mango, and more and more.
