Mozilla has just released the latest version of the Firefox (version 5.0 final) for Android alongside the release of their desktop version of the Firefox 5 for the Windows, Mac and Linux. Firefox 5 was up until now available as a beta version for the Android based smartphones. The main addition of features in the Firefox for Android 5 is the inclusion of ‘Do Not Track’ feature which has already been available in the desktop version of the browser for long. Though there other bug fixes and speed improvements and other small enhancements included in the Android version of the Firefox 5, the update is only ‘minor’ when compared to the desktop version of the same. Here is the list of improvements and important bug fixes mentioned on the Mozilla release notes page:
– Support for Do-Not-Track (Let’s the users opt out of behavioural advertisement tracking)
– Better compatibility with SwiftKey keyboard
– Improved page load speed on 3G networks
– Better display of images and video by enabling better color conversion
