Last week, we heard rumors about the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update for Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi only editions to roll out very soon in the U.S., and now we can say that it just happened. According to the source, the update is being rolled out in small batches, and the Android 3.2 update is being treated as HTJ85B. This update brings the long-awaited support for micro-SD cards to expand the memory storage on your Xoom tablet. The update also brings the Zoom Compatibility Mode for non-Honeycomb apps, and it will enable the users to run the phone apps in an emulated screen at normal resolution (320 X 480) with the new “zoom to fill” option, then zoom in 200%.
Apologies for not proving the instructions to download the Android 3.2 update on your Xoom tablet. We are sure it will be pretty easy to install the latest update, all you need to do is download the file from the following links, and install it on your tablet, which is weighing just 15MB. Please note that the HTJ85B update doesn’t bring other features of Android 3.2 Honeycomb as it’s just a maintenance update. It’s worth mentioning that Google has also released the GPL portions of the Android 3.2 source code.
