AT&T have officially announced that Nexus S is going to hit the Best Buy retail channel across the nation on July 24th, and the pre-ordering begins today with a price tag of $99.99 on a two-year contract with the carrier. For your information, Nexus S has released in December last year, and it is already available in the US with T-Mobile and Sprint (Nexus S 4G) connectivity options. The new AT&T optimized Nexus S is having the same specifications as that of the original Google Nexus S.
Unfortunately, AT&T’s Nexus S is lacking HSPA+ capability, as it is just 3G enabled device, while the Sprint variant is having WiMAX 4G connectivity . This handset comes with pure vanilla Gingerbread version of Android OS, running on a 1GHz application processor producing rich 3D graphics, 4-inch Super AMOLED Contour touchscreen display with 400 X 800 pixel of resolution, paired up with a video calling capable front-facing VGA camera, 5 megapixel camera on the back side of the device to record 720p HD video, pinch to zoom, NFC technology, tethering support , microUSB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 16GB of internal memory, 1500mAh battery providing talk time of up to 6.5 hours per single charge, Android Market, Google Maps with Navigation, Google Talk with video chat, Google Voice, including a whole host of Google and AT&T services. It is lacking the microSD card slot to expand the memory storage.

AT&T has noted that the handset will be available for pre-sale starting today Best Buy, Best Buy Mobile specialty stores and online at www.BestBuy.com/Mobile beginning July 21.
