iH8Sn0w has released a Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 5 along with support for iOS 5 beta 5 jailbreak Windows OS. Sn0wbreeze 2.8b5 can be used to jailbreak iOS 5 beta 5 running on iPhone, iPad and the iPod Touch. Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 5 adds support for the device hacktivation and also comes with support for bypassing the device UDID check. iOS 5 beta 5 has been released for developers only. But with so much of iOS enthusiasts around the globe, the IPSW files of the iOS 5 beta 5 has eventually been leaked online and are available for download. But then, one needs a special UDID (Universally Unique Identifier) which is registered / associated with an Apple developer’s account.
sn0wbreeze 2.8b5 gets around this problem and doesn’t need you to provide a UDID registration and if it’s enough, the tool also removes the beta expiry timer of the iOS beta 5! What this means is that you can enjoy the iOS Beta 5 on your Apple device beyond the expiry date of the iOS Beta 5. The tool will also preserve your baseband while jailbreaking your iOS device.
This is a tethered jailbreak [expect for the iPhone 3GS (old bootrom)] and supports the following devices: (please note that iPad 2 isn’t supported by this tool)
- >> iPhone 3GS (Old bootrom)
>> iPhone 3GS (New bootrom)
>> iPhone 4 (GSM)
>> iPhone 4 (CDMA / Verizon)
>> iPad (or the original iPad)
>> iPod Touch (3rd & 4th generation)
