HTC was right on the spot when they said that they were going to unlock bootloaders on all the Android devices manufactured by them. They have already released official bootloader unlock tools for the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G and the HTC EVO 3D smartphones. And now the latest entrant to the list is the 7-inch HTC Flyer tablet.
Thanks to HTCDev.com, the site now has added a detailed guide on how to unlock the bootloader on your Wi-Fi or 3G version of the HTC Flyer tablet. However you need to be aware that the process of unlocking the bootloader on your device could also lead to voiding your warranty at times. If you have a knack for installing custom firmware on your Android device and if you think you are dare enough, head over to HTCDev.com/bootloader/ and follow the instructions mentioned in the website. You must be a registered user with HTCDev website in order to access the material posted on the website. It should also be noted that the unlocking tool posted on the HTCDev website currently doesn’t support the Sprint’s version of the HTC Flyer, the HTC EVO View 4G (the unlocking tool for which should be coming pretty soon).
So how many of you have unlocked the bootloader and loaded the Honeycomb 3.2 ROM? Let us know.
