As announced earlier, the Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer HTC has started selling the women-centric Android smartphone HTC Rhyme exclusively on Verizon Wireless in the US. The phone can now purchased from the local Verizon stores (and also online at Verizon’s official website) along with three dedicated accessories such as a docking station, Tangle-free headphones and a “Charm Call Indicator” for $199.99 (full retail price $439.99) on a two-year contract with the carrier.
HTC Rhyme packs a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display (480 x 800), a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 single-core processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with HTC Sense 3.5 UI atop, a 768MB RAM, a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash (capable of recording 720p HD video), VGA front-facing camera, DLNA, GPS, 4GB of internal memory, microSD card expansion support up to 32GB (with 8GB card included in the box), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headset jack, Android Market, various pre-installed Google services and powered by a 1600mAh battery etc.
HTC Rhyme can be purchased from all the Verizon stores across the US for $199.99 on a two-year contract with the carrier. You can order the device online from Verizon Wireless online. It is also heard that the Target stores would be offering the device for $149.99 on-contract starting today which you may want to consider.
