Anyone want to see the press shot of the upcoming Verizon branded Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset? Here it is. The above image has been discovered on Samsung’s official website, labelled Verizon_SCH-i515 in its URL address of the image. We can see the ‘4G’ symbol in the status bar of the handset, but not Verizon’s regular symbol “4G LTE” and not even Verizon logo anywhere on the front side of the device. Above press shot is looking pretty identical to the original Galaxy Nexus which was announced at Google | Samsung event. The Galaxy Nexus is the latest “Nexus device” from Google, manufactured by Samsung. It has a very sleek design with its curved back and curved front, packed in thinner body. It is the first phone to be shipped with the newly unveiled Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and it will deliver pure Android experience, and this is the big new Android phone (at just 8.94mm thickness) for 2011.
Summarizing the specs briefly: Galaxy Nexus will have 1.2GHz dual-core OMAP 4460 processor, 4.65-inch 1280 X 720 HD Super AMOLED display, 1GB RAM + 16/32GB Internal memory, 5MP AF with LED Flash with zero shutter with 1080p HD video recording capability, 1.3MP front facing camera for video call, Barometer, 1750mAh battery and much more.

An email sign-up page is running live on Verizon’s website that will make you to register for Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset to receive the required updates. Samsung has recently announced that Galaxy Nexus will launch in the U.K. on November 17, with other European territories following shortly afterwards and across the globe shortly thereafter. It’s unclear if that means the U.S. as well. Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus is expected to release on November 10th an on-contract price of $299.
