We already knew that LG Spectrum and HTC Fireball are bound to be launched as the next set of 4G LTE capable Android handset by Big Red network in the U.S. We are yet to hear more thing about the HTC Fireball including its specifications. We’ve already seen the press shots and impressive high-end specs of the LG Spectrum handset.Today, a newly leaked screenshot is suggesting that Verizon is prepping to launch both the HTC Fireball and LG Spectrum as the carrier’s first LTE handsets with global roaming capabilities. Yes, Spectrum and Fireball handsets could be LTE-enabled ‘World Phones’.
The confusing part of this story that in the leaked screen shots, the ‘Global Phone’ option has been marked with ‘O’, instead of ‘Y’, which stands for a bug ‘Yes’. Does ‘O’ term stand for Optional? The ‘O’ term is also letting us to expect both phones may include support for the major GSM frequencies around the globe.
Spec wise, LG Spectrum features a 4.5” 720p screen, dual-core 1.5 GHz chipset, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, an 8 MP rear camera with 1080p HD video recording, a secondary front-facing 1.3 MP camera, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G LTE, HDMI, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, plus a 1,830mAh battery.
