Asus has started pushing out another firmware update for its original Eee Pad Transformer tablet. The new firmware update is not carrying the Android Ice Cream Sandwich build, but you shouldn’t ignore this update, as it is carrying many important features and a few bug fixes. The new build number of the latest firmware version would be 8.6.5.21. Here is the list if the changes that are coming along with the new firmware update 8.6.5.21.

Note: Please note that the new firmware update 8.6.5.21 will break root. No rooting method works and you will not be able to get it back unless your Transformer is an early B70 model or lower version.

Asus Transformer users should be seeing the notifications on their home screens asking them to accept the new firmware update. If the update hasn’t hit your Pad, you can go to Settings –> About Tablet –> System Firmware Update and then press the Check for Updates button…it should find it –> If you found the update, follow the on-screen instructions and let the upgrade process finishes successfully. After updating your device, you will notice the following changes in the software version of your Asus Transformer tablet.
