After releasing the Android 4.0.1 ICS ROMs for Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 handset, Samsung has also started working on official ROMs for the Galaxy S II based on Android 4.0.3. A couple of ICS ROMs – Android 4.0.3 ICS I9100XXLP1 and I9100XXLP2 have released online. These are the official Samsung software updates complete with the TouchWiz interface. Finally, we got the 4.0.3 version of Android ICS ROM, now we can say that this is a major step forward. These official ICS ROMs releases are hinting us that Samsung is making fast progress on a final version of the Android ICS update for GS II handset. An OTA update Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich release is expected to be rolled in March.
According to SamMobile.com this this Galaxy S II ICS 4.0.3 ROM is notably faster, but still has some bugs in it. You will also observe better responsive touchscreen, addition of Task Manager, improved battery life and Facelock is also working. The latest ICS builds I9100XXLP1 and I9100XXLP2 ROMS were created on January 9th and January 10th.
