Those of you who own the HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S II handsets will see an update of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich build in March. It was only yesterday that we were reporting about An early Android 4.0.4 IMM30B ROM leak for the Verizon LTE based Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset and here we started hearing about the existence of Android 4.0.5 Ice Cream Sandwich build courtesy of French carrier SFR website. The source has revealed out the roadmap of the Android 4.0.5 ICS OS release details, as well as the list of the handsets that will be upgraded with latest version of the Android OS.
According to the table published by SFR website, the Android 4.0.5 Ice Cream Sandwich OS update will be rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S handsets sometime in March. Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC Sensation handsets will be also upgraded with Android 4.0 ICS build, while the timeframe seems to be set same time in March. As a matter of fact, the Taiwanese manufacturer has recently launched the White version of the HTC Sensation handset with Ice Cream Sandwich OS filled inside will launch on March 1st and the manufacturer has promised to release Ice Cream Sandwich updates for all Sensation models by the end of the first quarter of this year. We’ve already seen an official Android 4.0.3 ICS I9100XXLPB ROM leak for Galaxy S II handsets. Android Roadmap says that HTC Sensation will get Android 4.0 ICS with HTC Sense 3.0 UI, but we believe that it’s very possible that the new update will feature HTC’s upcoming custom UI, HTC Sense 4.0.
The Roadmap also mentioned that Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy Pro, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Defy+, HTC Desire HD, and Desire S handsets will get updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
