The Nokia Lumia 800 is indeed a great and a great-looking phone, but it has been plagued with some issues since its launch time. It looks like, Nokia has been been cooking a new firmware update to bring some additional features for Nokia Lumia 800 handset’s camera. A new firmware update has been spotted on NavirFirm with the new build number 1600.2487.8107.12070 for Nokia Lumia 800 windows phone.
The new ROM is destined for New Zealand based Nokia Lumia 800 handsets, but it is believed to work well on other Lumias. The new update 1600.2487.8107.12070 brings new camera modes for camera firmware – “Smart group shot”, “Panorama”, “Action”, and “Self Timer” modes. Nokia Lumia 800 users have been also experiencing short mileage of the battery life. Good news is that we are hearing about the reports that new update 1600.2487.8107.12070 also addresses the Lumia 800’s inability to make full use of its 1500mAh battery. Folks over XDA Developers Forum have mentioned about reduced battery consumption and changes to the phone’s battery diagnostic display.
So, Nokia Lumia 800 handset is also getting Panorama mode, which should have better functionality than Nokia’s Panorama app. The new firmware update 1600.2487.8107.12070 is expected to roll out globally very soon.
