Android powered Samsung Galaxy S has been launched in Germany in White coloured version, after a long wait. Galaxy S is running on Android 2.1 OS but it can be updated to Android 2.2 Froyo version. Samsung has started seeding Froyo upgrades to Galaxy S handsets in European markets and the rest of the world from the mid of the October month.

Samsung is still undecided about Gingerbread upgrading on Galaxy S smartphones and Google stating the reason that the hardware needs to be similar to be Froyo.
