In early February, AT&T started rolling out the Samsung Infuse 4G handset’s long awaited Gingerbread update, but it was put on hold by the carrier due to some issues. Now, the carrier has once again started rolling out the Gingerbread update for the Infuse 4G i997 devices, bumping the software version up to I997UCLB3. Unfortunately, the update wont be rolled out through OTA (Over-The-Air) upgrading process, but if you go through Samsung Kies upgrade software, you will be able to download the new firmware update from Samsung servers.
Along with the Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread goodies, the update will bring the improved Copy & Paste functionality, Download Manager, improved power management Traffic widget, Google Books, Android keyboard with wider spaced keys, Flight mode. It is also carrying the exciting new fonts like ‘Choco Cooky’ and ‘Cool Jazz’.
