Sony has officially announced that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update has begun to roll out to the Sony Tablet S device. The Android 4.0 update also includes enhanced lock screen, enhanced web browser and other improvements, as well as other fixes.
Here is the full changelog of the Android 4.0 ICS update for the Sony Tablet S:
# Enhanced lock screen – Direct access to Notifications, Unlock direct to camera.
# New panoramic camera mode.
# Enhanced Gallery media viewer – Direct SD card access + photo editing tools.
# Exclusive “Small Apps’ for multi-tasking – Calculator, Browser, Remote Control, Move to screen edge for reduced clutter.
# New Home Screen actions – Drag icons together to create folders, Add names to folders.
# Enhanced web browser – Switch from mobile to desktop web sites, Save pages for offline viewing.
# Access files directly from SD card.
# Native screenshot capture – Press “power” and “Volume.”

If you own a Sony Tablet S and haven’t updated to ICS yet, look for an OTA notification in the next few days, which will prompt you click “OK” button to download it or you can able to pull it manually by hitting Settings > AT&T Software Update > Check for updates.
