The Wi-Fi versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablets have already received their ICS updates in the U.S. It looks like, T-Mobile is the first carrier to bring the long awaited ICS goodies for the carrier connected Galaxy Tab 10.1 (SGH-T859) tablet. T-Mobile has officially started pushing out the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet.
Unfortunately, ICS update isn’t coming over-the-air (OTA). Users are required to fire up Samsung’s own Kies tool to grab the full ICS download. The new firmware update bumps up the build umber up to T859UVLH6. Download the Kies software (hit the link) and hit up the source link below for full installation instructions on how to upgrade the Tab 10.1.
Anyhow, you can check for the ICS update by heading into “About device” section in the device’s “Settings” menu on the tablet. Don’t forget to tell us in the comments once you get the Android 4.0.4 ICS update installed to give us your thoughts on how the update is working for you.
