Samsung has released the Linux kernel source code for the international version of its Galaxy Note 2 phablet (model number GT-N7100). All the open-source bits of the Samsung Galaxy Note II code are now available for download from opensource.samsung.com and which will be of great use to developers. But these files won’t be of any use to regular Note 2 owners.
The files will help out custom ROM developers looking to develop better and more stable Jelly Bean-based firmware for the device. The files are available from the Samsung Open Source Release Center. In order to download just search for the model number GT-N7100 in the search box and you’ll be able to see download links the results.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II was recently launched globally. The model GT-N7100 is the international version. The released source code is for this model only, regular non-international model user will not find this code useful. But stay tuned for more updates, we are hoping for a compatible ROM soon.
