On its Facebook and Twitter home pages, HTC has recently confirmed that a ‘system update’ is available now for the Europe users of HTC Desire HD and Desire Z handsets. This general system update would “make your mobile experience even better” and the update is a maintenance build to fix the bugs based on all customers feedbacks.
HTC has clarified that the size of this update is quiet big to download so the users need to use Wi-Fi connection to install this update. Desire HD or Desire Z users of Europe can update their handsets by going to Settings –> About Phone –> System Software Update.
HTC has also confirmed that this update doesn’t bring Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it is not the part of the update. According to reports, this update faster improvements when tuning between home screens and a new phone dialler which have Hold, Add & View Contacts options. Users will also be getting content of new Memories skin and a Christmas theme sounds.
HTC Desire HD is also known as GSM version of EVO 4G and the Qwerty-slider Desire Z is Global version of T-Mobile G2 and both handsets are pre-loaded with Android along with the latest version of HTC Sense UI and equipped with 1GHz & 800 MHz chips. Desire HD comes with 8 Megapixels camera and Desire Z is having a 5 Megapixels camera.
