Now it would appear that an official press shot of the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini GT-I8190 handset has leaked in its full glory ahead with a few hours to go official at Samsung’s event. Thanks to the German website mobilegeeks, for proving the official press shot and full specs sheet of the Galaxy S III Mini, which is set to be official unveiled on tomorrow, which was confirmed by Samsung a few hours ago. Galaxy S III Mini will be little brother of the original and bigger Galaxy S III handset. The GS3 Mini is sporting the same design of the GS3.
We’ve got a ST-Ericsson U8420 dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, couple with 1GB RAM, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, and NFC inside (which is optional). No word on whether it can record 720p HD video or not. Don’t cross your fingers for 1080p. The original S III handset has got an 8MP camera with 1080p HD video recording capability. Galaxy S III Mini will come preinstalled with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS with Samsung’s TouchWiz Nature UX customizations on top of it.
The device boasts a 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA display with 480X800 pixels of resolution, and it will have 16GB onboard storage (impressive!), which can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD cards, as well as 1500mAh battery to keep running the things inside. Connectivity wise,it has got quad-band 2G and tri-band 3G with 14.4Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 HSUPA, 802.11 Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, DLNA functionality, micro USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0.
The source has also mentioned the Samsung Galaxy S III mini will be offered a plastic exterior, which resemble the design of the Galaxy S Duos handset and the SIM-free edition will be priced for an un-affordable price tag of €400 ($515).
