Samsung Hub is claiming that Samsung is in making plans to bring a new Galaxy Player in addition to its Galaxy home. Galaxy Player will be announced by Samsung at early next month’s CES show. According to Samsung Hub, this device will be having Android 2.2 Froyo and it sports 4-inch Super Clear LCD touch display with 800×480 pixels resolution, 1GHz application processor, SoundAlive audio enhancement technology, T-DMB, dual cameras (3.2Megapixels rear camera and a front facing VGA camera).
Galaxy Player(YP-GB1) is having Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, HD video playback support, Android Market accessibility, Samsung Apps access and a 1200mAh standard battery(removable) and some decent codec (FLAC /OGG / DivX /XviD ) support. Galaxy Player will be available in 32GB, 16GB and 8GB storage capacities. Pricing details and launching dates not known yet.
Does this thing dominate Apple’s iPod Touch? I think not. We’ve to see it. Isn’t it looking like an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 and it seems that apple’s round home button has been changed to a square one. Samsung might also be announcing other Android PMPs like YP-G50 and the certified YP-GB70.
