Recently a leaked T-Mobile holiday roadmap showed the Huawei Summit will be available buy the end of this month. When the phone first appeared in the leaked roadmap, speculations were that this will be a mid-range Android smartphone. And now validating the theories, the device is a mid-range smartphone and now available online at T-Mobile for $50 on contract.
The handset is “probably” an Android powered one, even though the T-Mobile listing page mentions as Proprietary OS. It is now certain that the phone is a basic smartphone. It features a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 display, 3.2-megapixel rear camera, GPS, Swype keyboard, WiFi, Bluetooth and HSPA+ network support.

Regarding the unconfirmed Operating system, the so called proprietary OS appears to be based on Android. The user manual describes an Android interface, except Gmail and possibly Google’s Play Store. So if you need a basic Android based phone, you just need to pay $50!
