Motorola has announced the list of its Android phone that will receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS update for the U.S. region. Yesterday, Motorola has update its update timeline on its website.
The following Motorola devices are confirmed to get a tasty treat of Jelly Beans:
# Motorola Droid RAZR
# Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX
# Motorola Droid RAZR M (should be upgraded before 2013)
# Motorola Droid RAZR HD / MAXX HD (should be upgraded before 2013)
# Motorola Atrix HD
# Motorola Photon Q
# Motorola Droid 4
# Motorola Droid Bionic
# Motorola XOOM
# Motorola Electrify 2
Unfortunately, Moto hasn’t provided any details regarding the exact dates of Jelly Bean roll out for the aforementioned devices. Motorola XOOM Family Edition, Motorola Xyboard 10.1 and Xyboard 8.2 tablets are listed under pending category for Jelly Bean upgrade capability. A couple of days ago, Verizon started pushing out the ICS update for the Droid Bionic handset. It’s good to see that Bionic is also on the list if the handsets to be upgradeable with JB build.
Motorola ha also provided the list of eligible devices for $100 trade-in program. A total of the Motorola device come under the trade-in program. Owners of the Motorola Atrix 2, Cliq 2, Droid 3, XPRT, Atrix 4G, Titanium and etc. will receive the $100 discount when buying the new Droid RAZR line, Atrix HD, Electrify 2 and Photon Q handsets. We already know that the Motorola Droid RAZR HD, Droid RAZR Maxx HD and the RAZR M owners will get a $100 credit if their devices won’t get upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean before the end of this year.
