We were pretty confident it was coming. Along with the Samsung Nexus 10 tablet and LG Nexus 4 devices announcements, Google has also unveiled the 3G HSPA+ Nexus 7 and 32GB Nexus 7 editions. As expected earlier, Google has ditched the 8GB model and dropped the price tag of the 16GB edition consequently. Th 8GB editions is already out of stock in the Google Play Store.
The 3G capable Nexus 7 works with HSPA+ bands and it is compatible with 200 GSM carriers worldwide, including AT&T and T-Mobile in the United States. Both the HSPA+ and Wi-Fi nexus 7 variants are carrying the same specs and same hardware under the hood. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly bean OS, and it packs 7-inch LED-backlit IPS display (800 by 1280 pixels), 1GB RAM, Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 4,325mAh battery and more.
Come to price point, the 16GB Asus-built Nexus 7 edition will be available for $199 and the 32GB edition will go for $249. You can grab the HSPA+ capable 32GB nexus 7 for $299 on Google Play Store from November 13th. The new 32GB Wi-Fi edition will be available in the U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan, and also through our retail partners Gamestop, Office Depot, Office Max, Staples and Walmart. 32GB HSPA+ Nexus 7 models will be available in the U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain and Canada.
