A simple search inquiry for “unlocked iPhone 5” at Apple’s website revealed a heading called “Apple Store Results” with images of the device and pricing. That result shows that the pricing of the unlocked iPhone 5 will be available starting at $649.
The pricing result of the unlocked iPhone 5 was first claimed by Apple Insider and confirmed independently the prices shown on this website are consistent with identical models being sold in Canada where all iPhones are unlocked.
Earlier we also reported that the unlocked iPhone 5 is available in Canada priced at $649 for 16GB model, $749 for 32GB and the 64GB top-tier configuration costing at $849 depending on how much storage you opt for.
A query for iPhone 5 factory unlocked on its website search bar reveals “Apple Store results” as seen above. The website shows more results with a different pricing range. The units are priced at $649 for the 16GB version, $749 for the 32 GB version, $849 for the 64 GB version. The devices are available in two colors, one is in White and Silver, and another is in Black and Slate. The devices will be available in both GSM and CDMA models.
Now, Apple doesn’t offer factory unlocked versions of its latest handset in the US. But the CDMA version sold by Verizon was found to be compatible with the GSM networks of AT&T and T-Mobile. .
