Today, Sprint has announced that they will sell the LTE version of Apple’s smaller tablet iPad mini and the fourth-generation iPad in select stores today.
The US carrier will offer the devices with a range of attractive data plans which can give customers to connect to its 4G LTE network. The data plans will be available without a contract. The iPad mini is completely a new iPad design which is around 27 percent thinner and 53 percent lighter than the previous third generation iPad. Both iPad mini and fourth generation iPad are running iOS 6 Operating System.
“iPad mini and the fourth generation iPad, combined with Sprint’s 4G LTE network and our aggressively priced rate plans, offer customers an outstanding tablet experience,” said Fared Adib, senior vice president, Product Development, Sprint.
Earlier this month, we reported that Apple’s revolutionary tablet, iPad mini and iPad 4 were available in stores but Wi-Fi only editions. As a result it might have created less buzz around the launch. Folks might be waiting for the Wi-Fi + Cellular editions on both tablets. So not as it is finally here, we are guessing there will be long queues around the stores. Moreover it seems the stock with Sprint is limited for now.
The LTE-capable iPad mini and iPad with Retina Display will start at $459.99 and $629.99 respectively. The iPads will be sold with Sprint’s 4G LTE data plans. Data plans will start from $14.99 for 300MB of data and go up to $79.99 for 12GB.
