A few days ago, Google started rolling out the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the takju variant of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (sold through the Play Store) and we are also presented with the Android 4.2 factory images and binaries for the device. Finally, the most awaited Android 4.2 Jelly Bean firmware update also made available for the yakju variant of the Galaxy Nexus handset. The update is now rolling out over-the-air (OTA) and it the brings the new build number JOP40C.
Yakju Galaxy Nexus owners that want to check for the update manually can do so by heading into Menu > Settings > About phone > Software update > Check for Updates. It seems the manual update package is available for download.
