Samsung has already released the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for the T-Mobile and Sprint connected Samsung Galaxy S III handsets in the U.S. But, there’s still no word on when the update is set to hit the Verizon and AT&T GS3 variants. Today, we’ve a good news for Canada based Galaxy S III users. Samsung Canada has tweeted that they will flip the switch to roll out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S III handsets in Canada.
Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t specified the which Canadian carriers will get the the update. Good news s that Canada based wireless telecom providers have got similar bands to that of the AT&T carrier in the U.S. So, Jelly Bean update for the AT&T GSIII should be rolling out at some point during the month of December. Earlier today, Google has rolled out the latest Android 4.1.2 JOP40D for the Nexus family devices including, Nexus 4, Nexus 10, Nexus 7 and ‘takju’ Galaxy Nexus.
In another tweet, Samsung Mobile Canada has reported they are still waiting for information about JB update release dates for the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II devices. We guess that the U.S. based Galaxy S II handsets will get the Jelly bean updates in 2013, as the unlocked Galaxy S II handsets haven’t yet received the update to Jelly Bean.
