Heads up Galaxy S III owners. Samsung has started rolling out the next update of Android OS for the international Galaxy S III GT-I9300 models worldwide. No, it’s not the recently launched Android 4.2 build. Uses are currently receiving the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update and it is bringing some of most important features from the Samsung Galaxy Note II phablet. The over-the-air (OTA) update is currently rolling out in phases.
Galaxy S III users will also take advantage of the most popular multi-screen window feature, which was first rolled out through an update for the Galaxy Note II in early October month. Here’s the full list of the features that are coming along with the Android 4.1.2 update:
# A customized notification panel
# Multi-Screen windows
# Paper Artist
# Smart Rotation functionality
# Group Cast apps
# SwiftKey Flow
# Page Buddy
# New Gallery app
# Users can now disable the Brightness Slider in notification panel
The build number will be bumped up to JZO54K. If the update hasn’t yet reached your handset, you can grab the OTA update manually by hitting Settings –> Software Update and follow further instructions. Or else, you can also grab the update using Samsung Kies software.
