Now that HTC Droid DNA phone is rocking on Verizon network, a new rumor has already begun circling through Chinese websites regarding the specs of HTC’s upcoming Android flagship for 2013 and it will be called “HTC M7” or something else. This device is set to hit the U.S. markets sometime in mid of the first quarter in next year. The M7 is supposed to ships with a 5-inch 1080p HD display, much like the Droid DNA handset.
Other rumored features are including Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core SoC, a 13 megapixel camera on the back side. The source has also mentioned it will be housed by an aluminum unibody chassis.
No other details about HTC M7 handset are available yet. Of course, knowing that it will be the upcoming Android flagship, we can guess that it will be packing some additional improvements over the Droid DNA handset. Over the past few months, we are also hearing Samsung is prepping to announce the much rumored Galaxy S IV handset at Mobile World Congress in next year and it is expected to pack 2.0GHz Exynos 5450 chipset with a quad core Cortex-A15 processor (28nm process), which is will be faster than the one used on the recently Nexus 10 tablet. It will also have a 5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, a massive 13MP camera and it will boot Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS .
However, these specs speculations regarding the rumored HTC M7 handset should be taken with a large dose of salt. But, you can expect to hear more rumors about this device as 2013 arrives.
