Slightly more than a week ago, Asus started rolling out Android 4.1.1 to their device Asus Padfone 2 via an OTA update. The device is a high-end model with a Quad-Core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 under the hood, with a 13MP camera. Now, the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T is being updated to Android 4.2.1 via a ROM offered by XDA.
This particular build comes from the courtesy of XDA Senior Member nycbir. The ROM doesn’t bring totally functionality. In this update, the GPS and the camera do not work. But OpenGL graphics, Bluetooth/Bluetooth Audio, Wi-Fi, Sound, Microphone, rotation and SDcard works properly.
The premium tablet Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset with a 1.6GHz quad-core processor. It also has a 1920×1200 pixels 10.1-inch Full HD Super IPS+ display. It also sports a new 8MP rear camera with 5-element lens and 2MP front-facer for video chat. Media connection is handled by an HDMI port, and the tablet sports the Asus SonicMaster audio technology, which is supposed to make the sound output crystal clear.
You can wait for the update officially released by the manufacturer. But we can’t confirm when the manufacturer will roll out the upgrade. If you would like to check out the original XDA developers’ thread, hit the link below for more details.
