Last month, Apple has distributed the iOS 6.0.1 update for the iOS handsets, carrying many bug fixes. Later, the Cupertino comany rolled out the iOS 6.1 beta 4 update for the registered developers. We’ve also heard that Apple is planning to add movie ticket booking with Siri through Fandango app in the upcoming iOS 6.1 update and there will improvemetns, as well as an improvement for Passbook deals with boarding passes. It looks like, there is another bug in the operating system of iPhone and iPad devices. Apple has begun rolling out the iOS 6.0.2 update yesterday to fix the reported Wi-Fi issue. This is a minor update and Apple says that it “Fixes a bug that could impact Wi-Fi”.
Users have been reporting about the annoying bug that reportedly affected Wi-Fi performance on both the iPhone and the iPad, specifically when WPA2 protocol was in use. The bug causing Wi-Fi connectivity symbol becomes grey and makes it impossible for users to connect to their home networks. So, the iOS 6.0.2 update is a solid upgrade and is currently rolling for iPhone 5 and iPad mini devices only.
Check the “Settings –> General –> Software update” section of your Settings app on your iPhone 5 handset or iPad mini tablet if you don’t see the over-the-air alert yet or you can grab the update from iTunes.
