A couple of weeks ago, Samsung has detailed the exclusive Android 4.1.2 based Premium Suite functionalities for the Galaxy S III handset, but they haven’t provided exact details about the time table for update roll out. Good news is that the Sammy is now pushing out the Premium Suite update for the U.K. based Galaxy S III handsets. The update contains the cool Multi Window feature and that’s always a welcome change, which was first seen in Galaxy Note II after its launch and the same feature is also now rolling out specifically for the T-Mobile branded Note II phablet in the United States.
The Premium Suite package is carrying more than ten new features for the handset. A new app called “Page buddy” adds additional context-sensitive home screen pages. “Facebook Lock Ticker,” feature offers Facebook news feed right from the lock screen. It lets you to tap on a interesting feed and then the handset launches the Facebook app so you can hit like button and write comments. When you take a picture on your GSIII, “Contextual Tag” feature will automatically tag date, weather and location data to it. You can also tag the person in your shot if you have facial recognition functionality turned on. ‘Contextual Menu’ lets you to choose to see the most frequently used app first. The device now uses ‘Smart Rotation’ mode and recognises the user’s face, and it will automatically rotate the screen direction.
There’s a new addition Auto Share Shot Pairing using NFC’ functionality lets you to share your photographs to to any NFC and S-Beam powered devices. The update also includes camera enhancements – improved ‘Best Photo’ feature, ‘Low light’ mode to allow bright and sharp photos, and Panorama can be now expanded to 340 to 360-degree. Using S Beam mode, you can now share a 1GB movie file in just 3 minutes and a 10MB music file within 2 seconds, and you’re not required to use Wi-Fi connection or cellular signal. ‘Smart Dock’ allows you to adjust the setting automatically when you connect your GSIII handset to the docking station.
Samsung Gallery now lets you to view more photos at the same time. You will also get an exclusive Paper Artist app, and a brush coloring tool with emotional photo editing functions. It also provides accessibility options such as Easy mode, sound balance for earphones. So, UK folks, if your GS3 handset hasn’t received an update prompt just yet, you know the drill – check for the update manually by heading into Settings > System Updates > and Check now. You can also try to upgrade your handset using Samsung’s Kies tool. We are hearing reports that the update is also rolling out in Russia now and it being rolled out in waves, so keep waiting for it to hit your handset.
