Heads up Excite 7.7 owners. Toshiba has a nice post Christmas gift for you. The manufacturer is now rolling out the a much welcomed Jelly Bean update for the Toshiba Excite 7.7 tablet. The update will bring users up to build number JRO03C and Android version 4.1.1. Reports are also rolling in this morning of Jelly Bean’s arrival for the Excite 10 tablet.
The new firmware update brings new features like Google Now, expandable notifications, Project Butter, resizable widgets, and more. Users will also get a new UI style, which includes centered navigation buttons and new status bar. We’ve already seen the same features on Asus-made Google Nexus 7 tablet, which came along with the recent update.
The system update size is 348MB. If you are a owner of a Excite 7.7 tablet, You will be notified that a system update is available on your device. If you haven’t yet been prompted on your device, you can pull the OTA update by jumping into your tablet’s Settings > About Tablet > Software Updates > Check Now.
