Samsung is now planning to introduce two Galaxy S II Plus variants: one with NFC and another without NFC.
It is mentioned that the Galaxy II Plus will have the same screen like we found on Galaxy S II. It will have 4.3-inch with 480x 800 Resolution. Instead of upgrading the device, Samsung seems to have downgraded the device, from the 1.2GHz to 1 GHz Dual Core Processor. It is expected that the Galaxy S II Plus will be running Android 4.1.2 mobile operating system, an 8 MP main camera, a 2 MP font camera and 1650mAh battery.
Even thought the name “Plus” suggests that the device may be an upgrade, the reported downgrading of the Samsung Galaxy S II has disappointed many. A minus in the features has raised many eyebrows. So looking at the leaked reports and specs, this device is surely a cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S series, with an affordable price tag. It is also expected that this device may have a target market where consumers buy an unlocked version, like India, China etc.
The Galaxy S II Plus is expected to debut in the CES 2013, with an availability in the first Quarter of 2013. It will be available in two-colors Chic White and Dark Blue.
