The much awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update has begun pushing out to the O2 UK connected HTC One X handsets. According to the tweet by the official HTC UK Twitter feed, the O2 UK customers have started receiving the Jelly Bean update as of yesterday.
The update will include all the goodies of the Jelly Bean build – Google Now, Project Butter, resizable widgets, performance improvements, and many more new features. The update will also get HTC’s own customizing UI software called Sense 4+, along with the revamped Gallery app, revamped HTC Watch app, new camera capabilities – Panoramic photos for the camera app, new keyboard with emoticons, and new themes.
HTC One X owners on O2 UK should be getting notifications on their home screen asking them to accept the new OTA update. The update is rolling out in phases, and if you are yet to receive the update, you know the drill. Try hitting Settings –> About –> Software Updates –> Check Now to download the larger 365MB OTA update. You will first get a small OTA update (1.9MB), followed by a full download.
