Back in December last year, FCC had approved the Acer Iconia B1-A71, tablet. Now a Bulgarian retailer “Tablet.bg” has brought further details of the device and reported that the tablet, Acer Iconia B1 will be available for 349 lev which is around $149.
The retailer reports that the 7-inch tablet has a 1024×600 pixel display, packed with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with a Dual-Core MediaTek8317 1.2GHz chip, 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, accelerometer, proximity sensor, headphone and microphone. The device has 8GB of internal storage but this internal memory can be expanded by using a microSD card. It also sports a VGA front-camera capable of recording 720p videos at 30fps. This tablet weighs around 308g (0.68 pounds).The pixel density of the display is 170ppi, which is better than the Apple’s iPad mini.
Earlier, it was reported that the Taiwanese manufacturer, Acer is planning to launch an Android tablet priced around US$99 in early 2013.
As of now there is no word about the availability of the tablet but it is expected to be unveiled at CES 2013 event which will be starting tomorrow.
