It can be confirmed that the Olympus E-PL2 Micro Four Thirds camera might be hitting the markets very soon. Another image of Olympus E-PL2 has surfing online now, this time with uncharacteristic accessory in ‘Medusa’ version with macro spotlight. Olympus E-PL2 is coming out with some specialized lights intended for macro photography, which are powered off the hot shoe and mounted on two flexible arms, allowing you to light your subject using just the camera.
Succeeding its predecessor, the Olympus E-PL1 Micro Four Thirds System interchangeable lens digital camera, the E-PL2 is expected to sport the same E-PL1 sensor, new 14-42mm f/3.5 – 5.6 kit lens, a ‘Direct Movie’ button, a high-resolution 3-inch LCD display, and an optional Bluetooth peripheral. It is also having ISO 6400 mode, which lets you take the high-quality pictures at very-low light conditions. No extra battery will be requires to power the adjustable LED. Olympus E-PL2 is heard to be featuring a new artistic filter – ‘Dramatic Tone’.
Direct Movie’ button will give the users a better preview, and the Bluetooth peripheral includes a new ‘PENPAL’, that connects to the hotshoe, which have the ability of sending your photo shoot to your Android and Windows based mobile phones, so that you can directly upload them to social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Flicker without having to bring a computer into the scene.
Olympus E-PL2 to be announced at CES in this week on Thursday, January 6. The launching details and pricing confirmations not known yet. But it is expected to be available in this February.
