Jelly Bean update has begun rolling out for the international version of the Tegra 3 powered HTC One X handsets in late November, and a few days ago, we’ve seen O2 UK connected One X getting official Jelly Bean update. Unfortunately, HTC hasn’t confirmed any exact timeframe for Jelly Bean roll out for the AT&T branded HTC One X handsets. But, we’ve a good news for Canadian users. Thankfully, the company is now pushing out an OTA update for the Rogers branded HTC One X handsets that will bump the Android version up to v4.1.1 Jelly Bean build and the software version also bumps up to 3.17.631.2.
Jelly Bean update for the HTC One X brings Google’s voice assistant aka Google Now, Project Butter to which optimizes system performance and frame rates for a smoother interface. You will also get resizable widgets, camera improvements, and some more enhancements. Of course, the update is also carrying HTC’s own Sense 4+ UI customizations.
The update is quite large, clocking in at 634.77MB of size, and has been making its way across the Rogers network in the Canada at the moment. To see if the update is available for your device, head into Settings –> About Phone –> System Updates and pull the OTA Jelly Bean update manually.
