Polaroid has announced a Nexus 7-like budget Android tablet – M7 with decent specs. The Polaroid M7 is going to play main role that will let other manufacturers to release low-priced Android tablets in the near future. The manufacturer will ask you to pay just $129 for M7 tablet. That’s $20 less than Acer Iconia’s latest offering. If you might recall, Acer has announced the cheaper Iconia Tab B1-A71 tablet at CES event, which will retail for $149.
Polaroid M7 comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean build, which is the latest and greatest version of Android OS. Of course, it doesn’t come with additional features of Android 4.2, but we hope it will be upgradeable to Android 4.2 in the near future. Other specifications are including a 7-inch IPS display at 1280 by 800 pixels of resolution, an unspecified dual-core processor.

The device will be available for purchase in Spring. Polaroid has compared (pictured at bottom) its M7 tablet with Apple’s iPad mini tablet, which costs $329. Of course, it can also be treated as worthy competitor for the Asus-made Google Nexus 7 tablet.
