A few days ago, Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for both the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and and Tab 2 10.1 tablets in the U.S. and Canada. Another Galaxy Tablet has now joined the Jelly Bean club.
If you’re in the U.S. and own a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, your time has finally come and you should be really excited. An update Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS has showed up on the Wi-Fi only variant of the Galaxy Note 10.1 N8013. The OTA update is now making its way to handsets all across the U.S. Aside from Jelly Bean, the update also brings a handful of new features including Google Now, Project Butter, resizable widgets, improved performance, enhanced notifications, and Samsung’s new TouchWiz UI, and many more.
No official changelog has been made available yet. But, the update is also expected to bring Premium Suite upgrade for this tablet with improved multi-windows functionality, Air View feature Quick Command app, enhanced S Note, and S Pen features, including Easy Clip, Photo Note, Paper Artist and enhancement to handwriting.
If you’ve decided want to manually pull the software OTA update, you can do it by heading into Settings –> About device –> Software update to see if it’s available on your Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. The update is also available to download using Samsung’s Kies program, by pluging it into your PC via USB. The latest firmware brings the new build number JZO54K.UEUCMA3.
