In September, last year, AT&T announced the budget friendly LG Escape for $50 on contract. Now from FCC documents, it has been confirmed that an LG device having model number VS870 has been approved for Verizon’s CDMA and LTE networks. It is notable that the device launched by AT&T had model number P870. So there is a possibility that the LG VS870 is the LG Escape Verizon Version.
Besides the FCC, the LG VS870 has also been approved by WPC (Wireless Power Consortium). You may have already known that WPC develops and licenses Qi, the global interoperable standard for wireless charging. So, hitting WPC means the device will have wireless charging capability.
Several manufacturers including Nokia and HTC are offering Qi, wireless charging capability for their respective Windows phones, Lumia 920 and HTC 8X.
If the device is LG Escape, it will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, sporting a 4.3-inch qHD IPS display (960×540) with Gorilla Glass coating, powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video recording capability, an additional front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chats, 4GB internal storage with memory expandable support up to 32GB via microSD slot, micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, 4G LTE support, Android Beam with NFC, 2150mAh battery.
