What we have today is a new leak detailing the release details of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy products – Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet, a low-end Galaxy Cover 2 rugged handset, and another low-end spec’d and the Galaxy Pocket Plus 2 handset. The folks over TechnoBuffalo got a hold of a part of Samsung’s roadmap for the yet-to-be announced Android devices for the first half of 2013. Both the aforementioned devices are expected to showcased at MWC trade show next month in Barcelona. Samsung exec almost confirmed that the new mid-sized Galaxy Note 8.0 will be made official at MWC show, which begins in late February.
The leaked Samsung roadmap suggests the Galaxy Note 8.0 will go on sale at sometime in March. The doc also listed the hardware specs of the Note 8.0, which we already heard before. It will feature 8-inch 1280×800 Super Clear LCD with S Pen support, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 5MP rear camera, 16GB/32GB eMMC, an SD card slot, BT4.0, S Memo, S-Note, S-Planner apps, and it runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
The leak also confirmed that the rugged Samsung Galaxy X Cover 2 will become available to purchase in February.There will be 4-inch 480×800 pixels LCD screen, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running on a 1GHz dual-core processor, comes equipped with a 5MP camera, 4GB eMMC+microSD card slot, 1,700mAh battery, BT 4.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3G with 14.4Mbps HSPA, and it is dustproof * waterproof carrying IP67 rating.
Last but not the least is the Samsung Galaxy Young, which is a successor to the Galaxy Y handset. Young will have a 3-inch WVGA screen, running with 1GHz processor, 3MP shooter, 4GB eMMC + SD card slot, Bluetooth version 3.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, A-GPS, 1300mAh battery, dual-SIM capability and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean runs the whole show and the device should become available in April.
Unfortunately, the leaked docs have failed to confirm the price tag information for Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet, Galaxy X Cover 2 and Young phones.
