Looks like we will see another 8-inch Android tablet hitting the markets in the near future. ZTE has officially announced its new V81 Android tablet. It packs a 8-inch display and is powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz Krait processor.
ZTE V81 also offers a full gigabyte of RAM, a 2 megapixel camera on the back, and a front-facing 0.3 megapixel VGA snapper for forwarding video chats, a 4 GB of built-in storage space, which can be expanded further through the microSD card slot up to 32GB, and runs with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The connectivity department includes 21 Mbps HSPA mobile data connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5 mm headset jack. There’s a HDMI out, micro USB 2.0, a 3,700mAh battery hides under the hood, and dimensions wise, it measures 200x156x11.07 mm.
The device’s display has got 4:3 aspect ratio (imitating the Apple iPad mini), and 1024 X 768 pixels of resolution. It also comes with the GSM connectivity support.
There’s no word on release dates, U.S. availability and price tag information. ZTE is expected to showcase the V81 tablet in the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2013 trade show next month in Barcelona.
