At the time of official announcement of Huawei’s two new Android smartphones: Ascend Mate and Ascend P1 along with its first WP8 Powered smartphone, Ascend W1 at the CES event 2013, the Chinese mobile manufacturer, Huawei already announced that a new smartphone, Ascend P2 will be unveiled at the upcoming MWC event in Barcelona which is just two weeks away. Huawei has also made Mobile World Congress 2013 presence official with an invitation.
Now reports are coming in that the device could be powered by an 8-core processor. Recently Huawei CEO Richard Yu announced at CES about their upcoming 8-core processor as well. It is not the only exciting news that we are bringing to you. The leaked images of the smartphone has also been spotted online. Coming to the pricing info, the Ascend P2 will be priced starting from 3000 Yuan which is around $481.
The smartphone may come with a 5-inch IPS display with 1080p resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, 2GB RAM, 13MP primary camera on back side, 1.3MP front camera for video calling, 8GB built-in storage, and a powerful 3,000mAh battery to power everything. It is also expected to feature a 1080p display with on-screen buttons and is running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Besides the Huawei Ascend P2, other purported smartphone Huawei Ascend P2 Mini and a new Windows Phone 8 handset similar to the 6.1-inch Ascend Mate Android smartphone are expected to be showed off at MWC 2013.
